International Symposium ECOHYDROLOGY FOR THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND NATURE-BASED SOLUTIONS TOWARDS MITIGATION/ADAPTATION TO CLIMATE CHANGE

International Symposium ECOHYDROLOGY FOR THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND NATURE-BASED SOLUTIONS TOWARDS MITIGATION/ADAPTATION TO CLIMATE CHANGE took place from 26 to 28 September 2017 in Łódź, Poland.

IS EHCNC 2017 was a successful event that brought together practitioners from different academic, governmental and NGOs environments to fortify research on integration of Ecohydrology, Circular Economy and Nature-Based Solutions.

Opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Maciej Zalewski, Chair of the Symposium. Opening remarks were presented by Hanna Zdanowska, President of the City of Lodz, Prof. Antoni Różalski, Rector of the University of Lodz, Paweł Rowiński, Vicepresident of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Giuseppe Arduino, Chief of Ecohydrology, Water Quality and Water Education Section (EQE), Division of Water Sciences, UNESCO International Hydrological Programme (UNESCO IHP) and Giovanni Bidoglio, European Commission, Joint Research Centre, Institute for Environment and Sustainability, Italy. After the opening, group of artists representing Lodz Academy of Music has presented a classical music concert for the participants of symposium.
